Weekly Newsletter from General Manager Justin Pamplin

Hello Sawmill Family,

We’ve had a productive week here at the park, and I’m excited to share some updates and announcements with you:

Cleanup Success! Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers, we’re thrilled to announce that the Guava Grove Tent Sites and Plum Street RV sites are now open! Your hard work and dedication are deeply appreciated, and we’re grateful for your contributions to keeping Sawmill thriving.

FEMA Assistance: FEMA representatives were here this week assisting neighbors with claims from Milton. If you missed them, there’s helpful literature available at Lucy’s. Feel free to stop by and grab what you need.

Splash Hours Reminder: Just a quick reminder: Splash Hours are from 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday, but the pool is open every day starting at 9 a.m.

New Sawmill Merchandise: Exciting news! New Sawmill logo merchandise has arrived and is now available at Lucy’s. Be sure to check it out and snag some fresh gear to show your Sawmill pride.

Good News on Financials:

Thanks to effective management and the hard work of our incredible team, I am pleased to report that Sawmill is still seeing a profit for the year thus far. This is incredible and a testament to the dedication of everyone involved- even with over a month of closures and pool refinishing- we could still make it through! —thank you all!

Crime Prevention Task Force Meeting: Mark your calendars! I’ve scheduled a Crime Prevention Task Force community meeting for December 15th at noon in Woody’s. These amazing officers will share valuable tips and strategies to keep our community safe. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and engage.

Waiting on Tree Debris Removal in Section Apricot: We are currently waiting on the tree company to remove trees in Section Apricot. Once that work is completed, we will assess the RV sites for reopening and share updates.

Big Weeks Ahead! We’re gearing up for three large weeks in a row, with near-capacity accommodations expected. It’s an exciting comeback for Sawmill!

Thanksgiving Potluck: Join us for our Thanksgiving Potluck on Thanksgiving Day at 3 p.m. Bring your favorite dish to share, and let’s celebrate together as a community.

Monday Night Bingo is back with Iona and Peaches 7:30pm

As a reminder, I am always here for you. Feel free to schedule a meeting with me at any time using the link below :

Thank you all for your ongoing support and involvement in making Sawmill the special place that it is. Stay connected by visiting my blog at floridagaycamping.com/blog for more updates and insights.
